ICT State Minister returning home on Friday after the Arab tour
On the fourth day of his state visit to the Middle East, Bangladesh State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak held a bilateral meeting with the country's Minister of Communication and Information Technology at the LEAP VIP lounge in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. He said that this bilateral meeting has been very fruitful. The meeting also discussed investment in the technology sector and smart cities of both the countries, joint education cooperation and joint partnerships in AI, robotics, semiconductor and nanotechnology.
Under the supervision of ICT Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy through the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, State Minister Palak outlined the implementation of "Digital Bangladesh" and the overall progress of the IT sector and the vision of building a Smart Bangladesh by 2041. He said we want to work together with our brother Saudi Arabia on digital transformation and building smart Bangladesh. The Saudi IT Minister expressed his hope to work with Bangladesh in the coming days for the development and development of the IT sector. At that time, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Javed Patwari, Private Secretary of State Minister Mushfiqur Rahman and related officials of Saudi Arabia were present.

Earlier, in a meeting with Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Jadai, CEO of Elm Information Security Company, an investment company listed in the capital market under the Ministry of Finance, the ICT State Minister discussed the concept of building a 'smart city' in Bangladesh.
In the discussion, the state minister emphasized the use of green technology in international tourism and digital health services to transform into a smart city. For that purpose, both of them discussed technology, financial and strategic agreements with Elm for the formation of ICT-based smart cities.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak wished for the peace of the country and the nation in the court of the great Lord by participating in the technology conference and cabinet meeting and after the top level bilateral meeting in a cordial environment by performing Umrah. At the time of writing this report he was preparing to return home. The state minister is scheduled to return home on February 10.
